Here’s a very simple marinade recipe for Maple Salmon.
Knowing me of course, you can happily use 3 cloves of garlic instead.
Regular sea salt in lieu of garlic salt is just fine (in my opinion) and fresh ground peppercorns – more than prescribed in the recipe – is a matter of preference too.
This is how the salmon looks before cooking and with LOTS of crushed black pepper:
